Destination

The Wedding Is the Easy Part. The Other Four Days Are the Job.

A destination wedding is really a small travel operation with a wedding inside it. Two hundred guests have to arrive, be met, be housed, be fed, be moved between functions and be sent home — often in a place none of them know, sometimes in a language they do not speak.

We handle the recce, the venue contract, the room block, the transfers, the welcome desks, the local vendor network, the permissions and the contingency plan — alongside the design and production you would expect from any wedding we do.

We work across palace and heritage properties, beach and island resorts, hill stations and standalone estates. Each brings different licensing, weather and logistics realities, and we plan for them explicitly rather than hoping.

Your guests should only ever experience the wedding. Never the operation behind it.

Shortlists with honest pros and cons, followed by a physical recce before you commit.

  • Contracts

Venue, room block and vendor terms negotiated and documented in writing.

  • Guest Communication

Itineraries, dress codes, travel advice and a single point of contact for every guest.

  • Transfers

Airport pickups, inter-function shuttles and departure runs, scheduled and staffed.

  • Local Vendors

Vetted local partners for florals, catering support, production and manpower.

  • Contingency

A written wet-weather and delay plan, with the decision-maker agreed in advance.

How We Work

Planning a Destination Wedding With Sanskriti

The same five stages, applied to the scale and format of your event.
  1. 01

    Discover

We start with the event, the audience, the expectations and the budget — before any idea is put on the table.

  2. 02

    Concept

Ideas, themes, moodboards and the experience arc. You see the direction before anything is committed.

  3. 03

    Plan

Venue, vendors, production, artists and timelines are finalised and documented, with costs visible line by line.

  4. 04

    Execute

Setup through to strike, coordinated by one team with a run-of-show everyone on site is working from.

  5. 05

    Celebrate

You experience the event. We stay behind the scenes handling everything that would otherwise reach you.

Questions

Frequently Asked

If your question is not here, ask us directly — we answer honestly, including about budgets.

The wedding itself often costs similar; what changes is travel, accommodation and moving crew and material to site. Whether you cover guest travel and stay is the single largest variable. We break this out separately in the budget so you can decide it consciously rather than discover it later.

In Their Words

Destination Weddings Clients

Destination Weddings

A hundred and eighty guests, and a good half of them over sixty. The part I was most anxious about — flights, transfers, who was in which room — was the part I heard the least about. That is the biggest compliment I can pay them.
